Boone County American Legion held a WWII Heartland Honor Flight soup luncheon on Jan. 11 to raise funds for the WWII Honor Flights. The event raised $1,601, which will be sent to Heartland Honor Flights to ensure more WWII Veterans will be able to make the flight to see their memorial.
