Boone Central runners provided highlights from both ends of the spectrum Friday at the 2009 Nebraska Cross Country Championships at the Kearney Country Club.

The Boone Central boys team finished a solid seventh in the team standings. The Cards bid farewell to varsity stalwarts Carder and Bryce Schilousky following Friday’s competition, but are left encouraged by the performances of younger runners such as sophomore Brody Kelley and freshman Calvin Koziol. The Bulldogs fell just slightly short of matching those 2008 heights this time around, but still turned in the most impressive all-around results among Class D entrants. Read more
