Petersburg community sign
He distributed pictures of the Petersburg sign, as well as a color swatch of the marquee which is teal blue. He proposed that the sign be located on the lots west of Highway 14 which the Petersburg Economic Development already owns. Cost of insurance would be approximately $325 and electricity costs are estimated at $1,490 a year. Energy costs could be lowered if the sign would be automatically shut off for a period of time during the night.
There will be some extra cost for installation of the communication system at the bank and some underground wiring. He added, “We expect to continue with the “Bash in the Burg” with a portion of those proceeds going towards the maintenance and costs of the sign.”
The bash committee has now become a Petersburg Community Club committee.
