Relay for Life to open Friday night

Boone County will be focused on raising funds for cancer research this Friday and Saturday, June 11-12.
The annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life will begin at 7 p.m. this Friday, June 11, at the Boone Central track. The activities will continue through 7 a.m. Saturday, June 12.
A “Survivors Walk” will be an important part of the opening ceremonies.
Pat Boilesen will provide musical entertainment for the relay opening. Games, raffles and other activities will be held throughout the evening.
Boone County has 17 teams signed up to participate in the relay.
