Excavation work underway at wind farm

At the Laredo Ridge Wind Farm last week, the first wind tower sites were being leveled and staked in preparation for the first excavations for foundations.
The first tower sites to be prepared are on land owned by John and Cindy Temme, northeast of Petersburg between 255th and 260th Avenues.
Arriving at the site last week were James Blount, site construction manager for Edison Mission Energy, and Steve Delvo, field superintendent for the construction contractor, Wanzek Construction, Inc.
