Speakers tout wind energy development, education center proposal gets $25,000 boost

Among the participants in the check presentation for the proposed education center at Petersburg were. l. to r., Gov. Dave Heineman, Superintendent Cory Worrell, Larry Temme, Edison Mission CEO Ron Litzinger and State Sen. Mike Flood.
As part of the program, Boone Central School Superintendent Cory Worrell announced a proposal for a new wind energy Educational-Economic Business Center to be located at Petersburg. Ron Litzinger, chief executive officer of the wind farm owner, Edison Mission Group, responded by announcing that his company will contribute $25,000 in seed money for the new center.
