‘Bash in the Burg’ this weekend at Petersburg

Food, fun, competition…a day you won’t want to miss… is coming up this Saturday, Aug. 14. Petersburg’s “Bash in the Burg”–Pits, Sips and Chips– will provide entertainment for all age groups.

Grilling for the barbecue cookoff will being at 8 a.m. Competitors will get their meat package of ribs, pork butt, beef brisket and chicken to season and cook during the day on their own grills.

Judging will start at 3:30 p.m., with a sampling of entries to follow at 5 p.m. Prizes for the barbecue challenge were sponsored by the Petersburg Community Club and Petersburg State Bank. Sentinel Building Systems sponsored the plaques.
