Wind generation equipment arriving at Laredo Ridge

Wind generation equipment is beginning to arrive at the Laredo Ridge Wind Farm east of Petersburg.

Three blades arrived at the staging area last Friday, Aug. 20, and deliveries this week have including bases, middle  and upper tower sections, nacelles and hubs.

Trucks which delivering turbine parts on the gravel county roads must travel in the middle of the road or risk overturning on the soft road edges. Edison Mission Group and Wanzek Construction are asking the public to limit any unnecessary traffic on gravel roads in the wind farm area so deliveries can be completed safely.
