Albion sales tax receipts strong
October 26, 2010
Albion’s city sales tax receipts remained strong in August 2010, with revenues totaling $42,871.
This total was up 28 percent from the August 2009 total of $33,416. However, it was about 10 percent lower than the July 2010 total of $47,642.
The August 2010 receipts continue a string of 10 months in which sales tax receipts have shown double digit increases over the same month a year earlier.
No motor vehicle sales tax revenues were reported for July 2010, so the county’s August total of $6,482 includes both July and August sales.
