Storm impact was minor in Boone County

There were the usual cancellations and postponements, but the overall impact of the storm last Friday-Saturday, Feb. 3-4, was relatively minor in the Boone County area.

Albion received rain and an estimated five inches of snow from the storm system that dropped more than a foot of snow in parts of western, south central and southeastern Nebraska. Only a brief power outage was reported by Loup Power District south of Albion.
