The Boone Central Bowling Club made their pin counts count Saturday.
Led by individual champions Brody Kelly and Nathan Hemmer, the Cardinal boys won the C3 District title at Ravenna Sports Bowl and the BC girls finished runner-up, with four team members joining the boys as qualifiers for the Nebraska High School Bowling Federation state tournament. Read more

Another tough opponent. Another thriller. But, unfortunately, the second loss of the season for the Boone Central Lady Cardinals.
That was the story in Albion Thursday as visiting Columbus Scotus nipped Boone Central, which entered the contest ranked #3 in Class C1, 38-37 when a final series of Cardinal shots refused to fall.
“This was a great game between two teams playing at a high level of intensity,” remarked Boone Central Coach Mike Kennedy.
In a game of momentum swings, twists-and-turns and intense defense, Scotus (9-5) snuck out a big win by controlling the tempo in the final three quarters. Read more

The Boone Central wrestling team concluded the dual portion of its 2011-12 season on a high note last Thursday, defeating Cross County/Osceola and High Plains in competition at Clarks.
