Paul Weeder comes back strong after heart procedure

Paul Weeder of rural Albion had never experienced any heart problems until last November. The 76-year-old experienced a major heart attack in November 2023 that required a trip to the emergency room, an ambulance transfer and stint procedure, but after good care he was quickly back at home.

Tana Dozler is appointed Veterans Service Officer

Boone County Commissioners on Monday appointed Tana McMillan Dozler as the new Boone County Veterans Service Officer. She started her new duties on Monday, and will be in training for several months with former Veterans Service Officer Jacqueline Wells.

Blood drive held in memory of Larry Temme

Red Cross coordinators JoAnn Mattner and Kathy Koch stated there was a great response to the February blood drive which was dedicated to the memory of longtime Petersburg supporter Larry Temme. Fifty-two units of blood were collected, possibly saving 156 lives.
