Art camp begins for youth

Body The first of three sessions of Art Camp 2026 began with 3rd to 5th grade students at the studio of Jerene Kruse. The group “traveled” to Asia, Africa and Canada.

Alumni banquet held

Body The 2026 Alumni Banquet was held on Saturday, June 20 at the Boone Central High School gym. Honored classes were noted, and the group enjoyed a meal together during the time of fellowship.

Albion tractor pull results released

Body The Northeast Nebraska Pullers Association visited Albion last Sunday, June 7 with a host of classes for local and area pullers to test their mettle in pulling competitions.

Library staff celebrating 250th

Body Just a reminder to join the St. Edward Public Library in honoring America’s 250th birthday this year during Chautauqua Days,their annual summer reading event, June 30 - July 3. The event will be held at the St. Edward Community Center, beginning at 10:30 each morning.

70 show at Smoke ‘N Chrome

Body A 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird Restomod was the outstanding choice of the 16th year of Smoke n Chrome car show on Father’s Day weekend in downtown Albion. There were 70 cars, two motorcycles and one Semi in this wet show, thanks to some welcome rainfall.
