The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panther track team traveled to Omaha’s Burke Stadium last Friday and Saturday to have two competitors do their best against a wide range of athletes from across the state.

The 2026 Memorial Day service was held at at St. Edward’s Evergreen Cemetery.

St. Edward Public schools held its commencement exercises last weekend, Saturday, May 2, with 11 students crossing the stage for their diplomas.

The crew from Love Signs of Norfolk removed the old scoreboard at the football field and replaced it with the board recently purchased from Boone Central. The new board will be used for all high school, junior high, and youth football games. (at right) Thank you to Billy Christman, John Fritzges, Chris Tenski and crews for putting up the new batter’s cage in the park. The cage was donated by the St. Edward American Legion Post 226, and will be available to our local youth baseball and softball players. A sign recognizing their generous donation will be added to the cage.

The St. Edward FFA Chapter had an exceptional showing at the 2026 State FFA Convention in Lincoln, where 16 dedicated members represented their school and community with pride and excellence.
