Mary Lou Nore, 93, of Albion, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion with Rev.
Many Boone Central FFA members are entered in competitions at the 2024 Nebraska State FFA Convention to be held April 3-5 at the UNL East Campus in Lincoln. Boone Central members have qualified to compete in 15 areas of state contests.
A special benefit event is planned for Teigyn Reynolds, infant daugher of Skylar and Cabre (Johnson) Reynolds, at Ewing on Sunday, April 14. Teigyn was diagnosed with a rare lung disorder, and funds are being raised for a portable oxygen machine to make trips to doctor’s appointments safer for her.

Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is reminding the public that it is unlawful to place political campaign signs, or any signs, on state highway and interstate right-of-way. This includes intersections, medians, entrance and exit ramps, sidewalks and the ditches and lands that make up the right-of-way bordering the length of each roadway.
Child care has changed considerably through the years, and I can certainly see the difference in generations from where our own children were small until now. I’m not sure that we, as parents, were as concerned about child care 50 years ago as parents are today.
A basement has been completed for the first home in the Fowlkes Second Addition to Newman Grove. The new home of Jim and Janell Wyant will be installed on this structure soon.
