Dear Editor, Mid-afternoon on Saturday, May 11 at the junction of Highway 14 and Highway 56, two vehicles were stopped. Until the eastbound driver in a red body, black top Bronco/ Jeep type vehicle decided to pull onto Highway 14 in front of my southbound red Ford Focus.

Newman Grove High School graduates of 2024 were saluted Saturday, May 11, both for their high school achievements and their potential to make a positive difference in the world. Superintendent of Schools Josh Warren said he has witnessed “incredible potential” in the senior class, and he urged them to continue their quest for excellence in their future endeavors.

Boone Central teams were primed and ready to host the B-4 District track/field championships last Tuesday. And, for the first time in school history, both the boys and girls teams left the event as champions, holding off very talented teams from Blair by less than ten points each.
