Shell Creek Days this weekend

The Newman Grove Community will be filled with events this Friday-Sunday, May 31-June 1 for this year’s Shell Creek Valley Days celebration. Friday and Saturday will be the scheduled city-wide garage sale event.

Concrete work has been completed for the new Boone County Epoxy building on the southwest corner of Second and Church Streets in downtown Albion. Tye Nolan and Derek Leifeld are partners in the business, which has been operating since 2016.

This prestigious award underscores Schindler’s exceptional commitment to patient care, and her outstanding contributions as a respiratory therapist within BCHC.

St. Michael’s eighth grade graduation was held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 following the 8:10 a.m. Mass. Graduates were (front, l. to r.) Maddie Kuta, Leah Erickson, Rylie Rankin and Tresdyn Stephens; (back) Father Mark Tomasiewicz, Reed Reinhart, Kaden Miller, Ian Litz and Principal Tina Thiele-Blecher. The Education of Excellence Gold award (98.0 GPA) was awarded to Leah Erickson and Kaden Miller. The Education of Excellence Silver award (97.0 GPA) was awarded to Maddie Kuta and Rylie Rankin.

Boone County Museum ‘blooming’ with many projects this spring

Projects have sprouted onto the landscape in the last month at the Boone County Historical Society Museum, with the memorial gazebo to be put up and landscaping to follow. Later this summer, an open house will celebrate the generosity of our Boone County patrons and the results of their generosity.
