Descendants of John and Kathryne (Kula) Drog held their annual family reunion over the Labor Day weekend at the home of Rod Cheloha near Duncan. Rod Cheloha and Cindy Wiese hosted the event beginning Saturday evening with family gathering around a fire pit by the river for Polish beer, brats and reminiscing.
The Cardinals continued their season with their second week of match play last week. Monday saw the Fullerton Warriors visiting the Albion Country Club for their annual dual and the Cardinals came out on top in a dominant fashion.
The Boone Central girls’ softball team took to the field for a flurry of games since last report, boosting their record to 4-2, putting together a three-win streak through August 30. Since last week’s recap, the team played against Highway 91, Blue River, Polk County, NEN Vipers and Highway 91 – with mainly games on the road.
