City sales tax revenues slightly higher for quarter

Albion city sales and use tax revenues are slightly higher than last year for the first quarter of the 202324 fiscal year. Sales tax revemie for October 2023 totaled $65,172, an increase of about 12 percent from the $58,669 in receipts from October of 2022.

Following the Boone Central High School holiday concert, Albion Music Club met at the Zion Lutheran Church for the Dec. 18, 2023 meeting. President Dawn Smith called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m. with 11 members present. Cheryl Sherburne presented the treasurer’s report and Carolyn Gray read the minutes from the previous meeting.
