The Boone Central Cardinals were on the brink this weekend, but could not quite span the threshold and claim the 2024 Mid-State Conference boys basketball championship. Boone Central opened the ‘24 tourney by thrashing Crofton and advanced to the title game with a clutch win over Class C2 #6 ranked Hartington Cedar Catholic.

Dan McKeon gets GOP endorsement in District 41

Dan McKeon of Amherst filed recently as the third candidate for the District 41 seat in the Nebraska Legislature. McKeon is an agronomy consultant and entrepreneur, and a former member of the Nebraska Army National Guard.
