Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has announced the appointment of Will Zoucha to its Foundation Board. With a deep-rooted connection to the community and a passion for quality healthcare, Zoucha brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.

Lindsay Corporation has made several generous contributions recently to community projects and needs. Above, Brian Ketchum, senior vice president and CFO, far left, and Randy Wood, president and CFO of Lindsay Corporation, second from right, presented a pledge of $500,000 to Lindsay Area Development (LAD) for the new Lindsay Event and Wellness Center. Accepting the pledge were (l.-r.) Terry Beller, fundraising committee member; Amber Klassen (center) and Ken Kurtenbach (right), LAD directors. Additional recent gifts presented by the Lindsay Corp. executives were the property on which to build the new Lindsay Fire Station (presented to Lindsay Fire District President Alan Bender), and $50,000 toward the purchase of a new community ambulance (presented to Lindsay Rescue Squad Captain Ken Kurtenbach).

Game night at St Paul Lutheran Church, rural Tilden, will be held Friday, March 8, starting at 5:30 p.m. This event of games, fun, and fellowship was rescheduled from January due to the snow storms.

St. Edward FFA Chapter hosted their annual FFA Pancake Breakfast last Sunday, Feb.

St. Edward Explorers will be sponsoring a community blood drive on Tuesday, Feb.

Activities at the St. Edward Christian Community Church for February include: Church services are held on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Cornhusker Public Power District Trustee Cindy Hemmer (left) presents $450 to the St. Edward Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for rechargeable flashlights. Accepting the check is First Assistant Fire Chief Richard Good (right).

Cornhusker Power Goodwill Fund trustees recently awarded $5,425 to 18 area organizations. Among the recipients were three organizations in the Boone County area.

Loup Power District recently delivered lease payment checks totaling more than $1.3 million to area communities. Each of these communities owns their electric distribution systems.
