Cornhusker Public Power repairs lines after storm

A March Blizzard traveled through eastern Nebraska, including Cornhusker Public Power District’s service area, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, causing approximately 3,600 meters to be without power, many for three days. The storm started early morning on Wednesday, March 19, with rain switching over to ice, then heavy wet snow fell along with winds gusting up to 70 mph.

Celebration of life service for Harold Lamoyne Staub was held Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Reichmuth Funeral Home, Elkhorn. Inurnment with military honors were held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn.

Paul S. McDonald, 90

Body
Memorial Service for Paul S. McDonald, 90, of Lincoln, were held Monday, March 31, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial was at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont with military honors. McDonald was born July 2, 1934, in Elwood, Kansas to Marion and Leta (Delaney) Mc Donald and he died Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Lakeview Assisted Living in Firth. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Marjorie “Marge” Norskov on June 19, 1960, in Albion. McDonald worked in sales and as a warehouse manager for Kraft Foods and later worked as an adjudication officer with the US Immigration Services.
