The Boone Central girls basketball team took their five-game winning streak North to Norfolk Catholic (8-9) on Jan 29th. The Knights proved no match for the Cardinals as they bulldozed their way to a big win to extend their winning streak to six games.

On Monday, January 26th, seven Boone Central High School Choir students participated in the UNK Honor Choir and Band Festival in Kearney. Students completed a recorded audition in order to be considered.

The Boone Central Cardinals and Lady Cardinal wrestling teams hosted the 2026 Dale Bonge wrestling invitational at the local school last weekend, Jan. 31.

City residents now have several options for receiving and paying their water/sewer/garbage bills, according to City Clerk Shelbie Schulte. City invoices for these bills are sent the first of every other month during the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December.
