Cedar Valley Lumber Company in Albion has received a recent facelift, with new steel siding and roofing installed on both the store and lumber storage builidng. Above photo shows the experienced crew installing a new roof on the storage building, with each piece carried into position by two crew members, and attached by a third worker.

Boone Central wrestlers brought home three medals from last week’s Nebraska State Tournament in Omaha. Carson Wood wrestled in a very Class C state championship match at 132 pounts, losing by the narrowest of margins, 7-6, to take second place.

Boone County Commissioners on Monday appointed Tana McMillan Dozler as the new Boone County Veterans Service Officer. She started her new duties on Monday, and will be in training for several months with former Veterans Service Officer Jacqueline Wells.

Boone Central FFA Chapter has eight members who recently qualified for state competition and received Golds awards in Proficiency.
