Body Four Newman Grove churches -- Immanuel Zion Lutheran, Newman Grove Methodist, Shell Creek Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran celebrated the 150th anniversaries of their founding last Sunday, April 14, with a meal and special program.

Body Ordinances confirming the sale of two lots in the new Fowlkes Second Addition to Newman Grove were confirmed by ordinances adopted at the Newman Grove City Council meeting Thursday night, April 11. One lot, Lot 5 Block B, was sold to James and Janell Wyant.

Body St. Edward American Legion Post 226 is announcing that Jacob Reeves and Marcos Campa have been selected to attend Cornhusker Boys State from June 2-8, 2024 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln downtown campus.

Body St. Edward High School vocal and instrumental students will be competing in the District Music Contest at Norfolk High School this Friday, April 19.

Body The Cardinal track and field teams were back in action April 9 with the Boone Central Invitational. Both teams faced tight competition but persevered, with the girls winning the team championship and the boys narrowly missing the same by a mere four points.

Body Finally, tee time. The Boone Central Cardinals, after several weeks of weather-plagued meet postponements, began 2024 boys golf competition with a busy week April 8-13.
