About an hour of Monday’s Boone County Commissioners meeting was devoted to discussion of the revised plans for the Summit Carbon Solutions CO2 pipeline project in Nebraska and Boone County. It started with a presentation by Brent Niese, Summit’s project manager, who described the main points of the project.
Mary Lou Nore, 93, of Albion, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Mary Lou, daughter of Herman and Edith (Peterson) Rojohn, was born at the family home in rural Albion on Oct.
Marilyn Ann Nauenburg, 76, of Albion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion. Marilyn was born June 15, 1947 to Frank and Charlotte (Boardman) Nauenburg in Grand Island.

Following the delivery of her daughter, Jessica Reich experienced complications requiring several units of blood. Jessica’s life was saved by those transfusions, along with the caring staff of the Boone County Health Center who went above and beyond.
