Jeff Epstein was introduced last fall as the new club professional at Albion Country Club, and this will be his first season in the position. He said looks forward to meeting and getting to know the area residents and ACC members.

Officer Ross Bartlett, a former Boone County Sheriff’s deputy, died as a result of injuries sustained in a collision near Ceresco Friday night, April 12. Bartlett, 54, a Ceresco police officer since 2017, died in a crash while conducting a traffic stop on U.S.

A proposal to build the new allinclusive playground structure in memory of Eli Porter was accepted by the Albion City Council during its regular meeting Tuesday night, April 9. The new facility will be built in Fuller Park, and will be located north of the Albion Family Aquatic Center.

Boone Central’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members earned gold and silver ratings in District Leadership STAR competition held April 6-9 in Lincoln. The 19 students from Boone Central competed along with members from across Nebraska.

Boone Central FBLA had one of their best state leadership conferences of all time last week, April 11-13, at Kearney. Bella Meyer became the first Boone Central student to win the Job Interview event.

Boone Central track and field teams were back at it Friday, April 12, at the Wahoo Invitational. The competition was some of the fiercest the Cardinals have faced this season.
