New cemetery signs installed

Visitors and genealogists traveling to the Albion Rose Hill Cemetery will now have additional help to find the graves or stones they’re searching for in the cemetery. The cemetery board installed the 60 new directional signs on Wednesday, April 30, in addition to the directory map at the shelter.

Downtown Athletic Club plans special June 14 event

Next weekend the community will be filled with cars, alumni and a new class of Hall of Fame members for the Downtown Athletic Club. The events will begin on Friday, June 14 with the Downtown Athletic Club’s latest induction of eight new candidates for the Hall of Fame.

Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Cruise Night and Dance this Saturday, June 8. There will be a poker run at 11 a.m., with registration at 10:30 at the fire station.

Summer Concert Series to open July 4

Albion’s Downtown Summer Concert Series will be opening on Thursday, July 4, with special entertainment by two specialty acts at The Venue on Fourth Street. “SongBlast, Dueling Guitars” will entertain from 5 to 7 p.m.
