Babbling Brook

Body
I really don’t have much else that I know how to do. When I was a kid, there was a Disney cartoon that I really wanted to model my life around - the one where Goofy does a bunch of jobs, one that starts with every letter of the alphabet.

Chilly day doesn’t stop heated competition

Body
When you’re out for a spring sport in Nebraska, you always need to be prepared! With weather changing every hour, track and field athletes must pack everything from sunscreen, sunglasses, and t-shirts to stocking caps, gloves, and winter coats to be ready to take on both their competitors and the weather. The breezy, sunny, yet chilly weather on the last day of March at Boone Central’s Mansfield Invitational was a challenge for the young Cardinals, but the girls’ and boys’ teams walked away with eight impressive wins and a handful of impressive marks.
Three of Nebraska’s better high hurdlers locked horns at the Mansfield Invitational. Addy Hedlund, left, and Sophie Lyon, right, surround Sheridan Falk (who won the race) of Nebraska Christian. Sheridan, who won the Class D state title last season, is the granddaughter of Carol and Ron Falk of Albion.
