FCCLA picks up State Champs, many medalists

Smith chosen for Cornhusker Boys State

Body The Albion American Legion Post has chosen Jacob Smith as the 2026 Cornhusker Boys State Representative. Smith is the son of Rob and Maggie Smith of Albion, and will join nearly 300 other high school juniors from across Nebraska at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this season.

Scouts seeking collection help

Body Albion Scouts are asking for the community’s help with their Scouting for Food drive on Saturday, April 18th 2026. The Scouts are collecting donations of any non-perishable food items for the Boone County Food Pantry.

Loup Power distributes payments to service area

Body Loup Power District recently delivered inside revenue payments and the second half of the in-lieu-of-tax payments to the counties it serves. This is a benefit of being served by a locally controlled, not-for-profit utility.
