Boone Central wrestlers brought home three medals from last week’s Nebraska State Tournament in Omaha.

Carson Wood wrestled in a very Class C state championship match at 132 pounts, losing by the narrowest of margins, 7-6, to take second place.

In the 100-pound girls bracket, Mishayla Slaymaker won the fifth place medal. It was her second medal two years as a state qualifier.
