Rutten wins “Daisy” award for care

“Builders” toured Albion last week

Albion welcomed the Community Builders group on April 24, 2025. Tours included Boone CountyAgriculture & Education Center/Niewhohner Arena by manager Chuck Rolf, The Dotted Daisy by owner Betsy Harris, Boutique 29eleven by owner Tiffany Curry, The Nest by owner Ray Barnes, Hwy 14 Brewery by owners Greg & Mandy Luettel, and Boone Beginnings by board member, Jay Wolf.

Memorial bench donated...

In remembrance of Lanny Young his wife Jeanne donated this bench that will sit on the south side of the Albion Vet’s Club. Clyde Stuhr of Patriots Landing made the bench that was designed by him and Jeanne.

Stone opens Sisters store on main street

Prairie Sisters’ new home is in the former Sixthth & Hale building on main street in Newman Grove. Owner, Katie Stone, will be selling women’s and kids clothing, home decor and furniture. She will sell online and from the store. Inventory from the previous owner will also be for sale.
