Madison Gompert of Albion, a senior at Boone Central High School, won the District 15 Voice of Democracy contest at Columbus November 30. Gompert qualified for the District 15 event by winning the local Voice of Democracy competition November 11.

The Albion Community hosted an American Red Cross Blood Drive on January 20, 2025. Eighty-four donors braved an extremely cold Monday to help collect 86 living saving units.

On Monday January 13, 2025 Cornerstone Bank held its annual Employee Recognition Dinner at the York Country Club. Recognition gifts were presented to 45 honorees at that time.

Boone County Health Center (BCHC) recently celebrated Registered Nurse Jaimie Beister’s appointment as Diabetes Educator and her achievement of certification as a Certified Foot Care Specialist (CFCS).
