On October 16th, John Mlnarik, president of Antelope Memorial Hospital’s Board of Trustees, was recognized as the winner of the Nebraska Hospital Association’s 2024 Trustee of the Year Award. The award ceremony was held during the NHA Annual Convention at Embassy Suites in LaVista.

BCHC helps youth earn CNA certification

A group of dedicated Boone Central High School students are currently participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program, preparing to make their mark in the healthcare field. The six students— Miranda Mc-Gill, Madison Gompert, Natalie Nelson, Edwin Naranjo Aranda, Erica Hall and Madison Reilly —are undertaking a semester-long course designed to equip them with essential patient care skills and prepare them for the Nebraska Nurse Aide State Licensure.

Health Center adds Patrick to PT dept.

Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has announced the addition of Clay Patrick as a new Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in their expanding Physical Therapy Department. Clay Patrick grew up on a small ranch outside of Bartlett and earned his Associates of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist from Northeast Community College.

Boone County Health ranked in “cleanest” survey

The accolades continue to roll in for the Boone County Health Center (BCHC) as the facility has been named one of the cleanest hospitals in the United States by “ Becker’s Hospital Review.” Among 350 hospitals nationwide, BCHC earned a 5-star rating for cleanliness, placing it among just nine hospitals in Nebraska to receive this prestigious recognition. The ranking is based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys, a national, standardized tool that gathers feedback from patients about their experiences during recent inpatient hospital stays.

This recognition is based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) collected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
