Improvements at Albion Country Club

A large crew of volunteer members turned out for a work day at Albion Country Club on Saturday, May 18. The crew installed a plastic liner (above) in the ACC water feature, removed a couple of large dead trees and trimmed others. The water feature project was completed May 25 with placing of the final stones.

Lauren E. Hedlund of Albion was among 215 undergraduate students receiving degrees from Morningside University, Sioux City, IA, on Saturday, May 11 at the commencement ceremonies.

Pickrell earns honor

Grant Pickrel of Fullerton was recently named to the Chadron State College Spring 2024 President’s Honor List. This list consists of students with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. To qualify, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.

Summer Concert Series to open July 4

Albion’s Downtown Summer Concert Series will be opening on Thursday, July 4, with special entertainment by two specialty acts at The Venue on Fourth Street. “SongBlast, Dueling Guitars” will entertain from 5 to 7 p.m.
