Body At Memorial Day services in Newman Grove on May 27, an emphasis was placed on remembering and continuing the legacy of fallen military members. American Legion Post #73 Color Guard marched into the cemetery to open the program.

Body The Albion Legion Post #162 Seniors baseball team hosted the “Cornerstone Baseball Tournament” this past weekend at the local field with five teams playing in a round-robin style event over May 24-26.

Body This past week, the Albion Post 162 Junior Legion baseball team started their summer season by hosting Plainview on Monday and traveling to St. Paul on Wednesday.

Body Riverside Chargers track teams traveled to Omaha for the 2024 Class D State Invitational. They earned a ninth-place boys overall finish, a 28th for the girls, and a number of individual medalists.

Body The annual Memorial Day ceremony was held at the Veteran’s Memorial in Petersburg. Vice Commander Pat Cleveland welcomed those in attendance. This was followed by advancement of the colors by Post 334.
