As the July 4 holiday approaches, Albion residents should remember the current local City codes governing fireworks and their use in the City limits for the safety of citizens.

Several area students atrtended the Wayne State College Summer Speech Camp recently, getting a jump start with their competitive speech projects for the upcoming school year.

Wayne State College included 1,154 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Spring 2024 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Autumn Simons of Petersburg was recently named to the dean’s list at the College of St. Mary, Omaha, for the 2024 spring semester.
