Newman Grove/St. Edward Lady Panthers had a rough start to their 2024-25 basketball season with a 0-3 record so far, after three games.

A lane inspector for the National Bowling Congress, with headquarters in Six Flags, Texas, inspected the lanes at the Newman Grove Bowl in Newman Grove last week. The inspector was from North Carolina and inspects bowling alley lanes for certification throughout the nation.

Newman Grove School Board adopted the negotiated agreement with the school’s teaching staff and handled a vareity of other business during its meeting Monday, Dec. 9.

After a rough 0-2 start, the Boone Central boys basketball team was back in action on Dec 12 on the road in Central City against the Bison (2-0). The boys came out strong in this one and took the victory 61-52.
