Track teams battle with Blue Devils

Body The Boone Central track teams made a return trip to Wayne last week for the Wayne Blue Devil Invite on April 8th. The meet included athletes from Columbus Scotus, Pierce, Wakefield, Columbus Lakeview, David City, Tekamah-Herman, and the host school Wayne.

“3 for 3” donated...

Body Steven Ruzek, Vice President & Assistant Manager of Cornerstone Bank-Albion, presented a $825 check to the Boone Central Cardinals boys and girls varsity basketball players. The $825 donation was for Cornerstone’s “$3 for 3” contribution.

Scouts hold Pinewood Derby

Body The Albion Cub Scout Pack held its annual Pinewood Derby competition this past weekend, with scouts of all ages participating in three groups with winners moving to the grand finals.
Albion’s Cub, Pack and Girl Scout troops had members participate, including an open class.

Picked AG Youth Conference

Body Aiden Klein, son of Amy and Martin Klein of Petersburg, and Landyn Veik, son of Heather and Adam Veik of Elgin, were recently selected through an essay contest to attend the Mike Hilgers Nebraska Attorney General Youth Conference Day.
