Arena celebrating 5th anniversary

Staff 2025 marks the five year anniversary of the completion of Albion’s Niewohner Arena located at the Albion Fairgrounds at 2624 Fairgrounds Road. Paez brings new life to pub and family

On March 9, 2023 The Beaver’s Pub re-opened its doors to the people of Saint Edward and surrounding areas under the ownership of Angel Paez and his family. Since its re-opening, the pub has continued to garner positive reviews and satisfied customers during its nearly two and a half years in business.

Seniors team ends season at area tourney

The Albion Seniors Post #162 boys baseball team started up their run at the State tournament this year with games on July 25-29 at the local fields. Sutton was technically the host, but games were played in Albion all last weekend and into this week to determine the State qualifier for the C5 area tournament.

Nelson cousins gather for reunion

Arriving by plane, train and automobile, descendants of John and Anna Nelson, early settlers in the Dennison area of Boone County, met July 18-20 in Albion, Nebraska for their biennial Nelson Cousins’ Reunion.
