Six contestants competed in the first annual Adult Spelling Contest sponsored by the Albion Chamber of Commerce last Saturday night, March 2, at The J Sports Bar and Grill.

Women emerged as the leaders as the contest rounds continued. Winning the first place trophy was Tiffany Curry, followed by Tammy Nolan in second and Debbie Schafer, third.

Bill Curry served as emcee and conducted trivia contests between the spelling rounds.
