A few rain sprinkles didn’t deter the enthusiasm for Petersburg’s annual Cruise Night last Saturday, June 8.
Many local residents, and visitors from surrounding communities, made the event successful.
Early in the day, about 30 motorcycle riders took part in the Poker Run and returned to Petersburg in the late afternoon.
The firemen’s barbecue in the fire station served about 325 people, as DJ Alan Temme played hits from the past in his booth at the downtown park.
Main Street was filled with cruisers for much of the evening.
About 325 people attended the dance, with the up and coming band “Pop Rocks” from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
