Beaver Valley Days to start next week
The 2024 Beaver Valley Days celebration will kick off on July 26 in St. Edward next weekend with events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for all ages and community members.
On Friday, July 26, the day will start at 10 a.m. with a history exhibit opening at the St. Edward Library, followed by “Art for Kids” at the Library at 10:30 a.m.
At 5 p.m. the Welcome BBQ will start at the city park, as will the road rally. A horseshoe tournament will begin at 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 27 volleyball starts at 9 a.m., bounce houses and face painting start at 10 a.m., and a cornhole tournament will begin at 3 p.m., following the tractor pull at 1 p.m.
Soccer at 3, a car show from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and the Newman Grove/St. Edward Youth Sports Burger Bash will open at 5 p.m.
Polka Trio will play from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and “Modern Kowboy” will take the stage at 8 p.m. for a street dance.
Sunday’s events will open with the fire department’s pancake feed at 7 a.m., and smoke make exhibit from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; the fire department water fight will start at 12 noon, and the grand parade will kick off at 2 p.m.
At 3 p.m. there will be a watermelon feed, and the community BBQ starts at 4 p.m. A water balloon fight will begin at 3 p.m. as well, and a fast pitch softball tournament will run from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
