Newman Grove City Council held a brief special meeting last Thursday night, Feb. 22, and approved the first basement excavation in the Fowlkes Second Addition at 408 Pine Ridge Circle.

A modular home owned by Jim and Janell Wyant is to be installed on this basement, when completed.

A second house is also planned for construction in the new addition in the coming months.
