Snow storms in January eliminated the worst areas of Nebraska’s drought, according to analysts from the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Nebraska still has areas of severe and moderate drought in its east central and south central portions. However, the areas of extreme and exceptional drought have now been removed from the map.
