Newman Grove FFA members competed in the second round of District CDEs at Central Community College on Monday, Feb. 26.

Newman Grove had one state qualifying team in Farm Management, placing fourth.

Also placing fourth was the Ag Sales team. Several individuals had top 10 finishes in their events.

“We had great results, and I’m super proud of each one of them, even those who didn’t ribbon,” said FFA Advisor Mikayla Martinsen.

Following are the results and placings for the various Newman Grove teams and categories:

• Farm Management - Team placed fourth and qualified for state. Individuals: Camron Reichmuth, blue; Austin Wiese, red; Nick Stock, red; Cooper Herchenbach, white.

• Ag Sales - Team placed fourth. Individuals: Trent Patzel, blue and fifth place individual; Zander Jarecki, blue and seventh place.

• Agriscience - Jayden Benson, purple and eighth place individual; Dylan Luetkenhaus, blue; Piper Jarecki, blue; Nate Fowlkes, red.

• Nursery & Landscape - Aleeya Morris, red.

• Veterinary Science - Halie Nelsen, blue and 14th place individual; Chloie Korth, red; Noah Sorensen, red; Aubree Whitaker, red; Emily Schlecht, white.

Nebraska State FFA Convention, Expo and Career Fair will be held April 3-5, 2024 in Lincoln. Newman Grove members will be joining more than 7,000 FFA members, advisors and guests for this highlight event.
