FBLA qualifies many for Nationals

The Boone Central FBLAChapter traveled to Kearney for the 2025 State Leadership Conference, qualifying a number of chapter members for the National Conference. The students heard from engaging speakers, attended educational breakout sessions, and competed against other students from across the state in various competitions.

Swim lessons for generations of students

Before moving to Albion, Lonnelle Rasmussen, a certified Water Safety Instructor, taught swimming lessons at three other facilities. She began teaching adult swimming lessons at BCFC in January 1986.

Cornhusker Public Power repairs lines after storm

A March Blizzard traveled through eastern Nebraska, including Cornhusker Public Power District’s service area, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, causing approximately 3,600 meters to be without power, many for three days. The storm started early morning on Wednesday, March 19, with rain switching over to ice, then heavy wet snow fell along with winds gusting up to 70 mph.
