Memorial services for Susanne Bernadette Krohn, 78, of Omaha, were held on Thursday, June 13 at the Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn.

Krohn was born on June 2, 1946 in Lynch, to Mel and Mary (Warnke) Lueken. She grew up in Lynch alongside 10 siblings and graduated from Lynch High School.

After high school, she moved to Omaha, and began working in the office for Ma Bell telephone company.

On January 2, 1971, she was united in marriage to David Krohn; the couple had their wedding in Lynch. After nearly a decade of working at Ma Bell, the couple were ready to welcome their first child, and she decided to stay home to raise her family. Spending time with her family was very important to Krohn, she was blessed recently to live within five miles of her children, allowing her to see her grandchildren often. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren, and she took an active role in their lives. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers, as well as playing word games. She was known for lovingly selecting greeting cards for her family and had a special knack for remembering birthdays and finding the perfect card for any occasion. Her family remembered her as “a strong-willed woman who had a very loving and caring nature.” She was preceded in death by her parents, Mel and Mary Lueken; brother, Jim Lueken; brother, Kim Lueken; sister, Jackie Cassidy; brother, Murph Lueken; sister, Milda Wade; and brother, Kurt Lueken.

Susanne B. Krohn is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Krohn; son, Jeff (Vicki) Krohn; daughter, Jill (Derek) Pierce; grandchildren: Nate (Kayla), Ava, Mary Grace, and Landon Krohn and Remi Pierce; sister, Jean (Dan) Roberts; brothers, George, Lefty and Bob Lueken; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
