Boone County Commissioners, acting as a Board of Equalization, made determinations on a total of 48 valuation protests during their meeting Monday, July 15.

Of the 48 protests, five were damaged property forms, which were approved as authorized by state law.

Of the remaining 43 regular protests, six were approved for lower valuations, while the remaining protests were denied.

The board also accepted the three-year plan of assessment for residential, commercian and agricultural land from Assessor Dan Lueken, and accepted the list of cemetery exemptions as presented.
