In The NEST regular season, last place seed, Dylan Zoucha, found his stride and battled his way through the play in bracket to reach the Championship bracket. Dylan would eventually run out of steam in the Championship bracket, but not before eliminating the #3 seed from the tournament. Dylan is definitely the IRON MAN of the tournament having put up over 100 THROWS on the evening!!

Marcus Johnson, our #5 seed, would be tested early, having to defeat the Play-In Champion, (Dylan Zoucha), Devin Samuelson (Runner- Up) and #1 seed in the tournament and current High Game Record Holder, Kris Kalvelage.

Not to be outdone, our female competitors were more than up to the challenge. In a back and forth match, Leialoha Barnes, needed a three to tie #3 seed Nick Krohn on her final throw. She stepped up and hit the bullseye to send Nick into the lower bracket.

In the meantime, one lane away, Drew Kime was busy plotting a massive upset of her own. taking on #2 seed Tye Nolan. Looking very relaxed, Drew Kime was able to get the win against Tye Nolan sending her into a semi-final matchup against Leialoha Barnes.

Again, this would prove to be a very exciting matchup with #10 seed Drew Kime upsetting the #6 seed Leialoha Barnes 47-43. Drew Kime would eventually be outdone, losing the next round against the eventual Champion Marcus Johnson.

Devin Samuelson our Runner-Up was put in the lower bracket early with a score of 28 in his early matchup. Then something clicked for Devin in the lower bracket. Devin Samuelson put up games of 46, 45, 50, 54, and 46 to earn a rematch against Marcus Johnson!

In the final match, Marcus Johnson was able to outlast Devin Samuelson to become our Summer 2024 Axe-Throwing Champion!
