At a special lunch and learn program last Wednesday, Feb. 21, Amanda Gulbrandson pointed out the many opportunities that area residents can use if they need mental health counseling.

She pointed out the importance of maintaining good mental health in today’s fast moving and changing environment.

More than 40 people attended the lunch and learn session at The Nest in Albion, sponsored by the Albion Chamber of Commerce.

Gulbrandson is a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner affiliated with the Columbus Community Hospital.

Spelling contest for adults will be Saturday, March 2

Albion Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a new event, an adult spelling contest, to be held Saturday night, March 2, starting at 8 p.m. at The J in Albion.

Those who would like to compete are asked to arrive early to register.
